LiveCity Competition to be Announced Soon

The LiveCity project will have its kick-off meeting in Athens next month. As I said in an earlier blog post we are building a mixed reality game that is played between people here in Luxembourg and in Athens. Shortly we will announce an open competition and invite people to come up with some designs for the game, but in advance of that announcement here are some topics to keep in mind that we want to explore:

  • Promotion of “daily life” within each city, e.g. how people get around, where people hang out etc.
  • Tourism aspects of each city
  • Use multi-touch technologies at fixed installations in each city
  • Location-aware gaming
  • Interactive video-to-video communication

The whole project is about providing a range of services using video to video technology therefore it is important that video communication is used in the game.
