Britain set to End Human Rights Protection Laws

One of the main reasons for people in the UK voting to leave the EU (in addition to disliking foreigners) was the abolition of the European Human Rights legislation. Indeed as reported on The Canary the new Government has moved swiftly to get rid of these pesky EU laws which guarantee people a fair trial and prevent them from being tortured. Instead it will replace it with a selection of laws designed to get right  wing Neo-Nazi voters on side in time for the next election.

It will be interesting to see how one of the main Government Brexiters David Davis MP who has campaigned against leaving the European Human Rights Court jurisdiction in the past will now support this policy. Indeed he has resigned before over civil liberties issues.
